Winner of Software Leader of the Year & Best Use of AI and Machine Learning in Development
What did winning an AI and Software Development Award mean to you and your team?
Winning these awards was incredibly special, both professionally and personally. Receiving Best Software Leader of the Year was a real career highlight because it recognised not just one project, but my journey of building teams, driving innovation and helping people embrace new ways of working. For the team, the Best Use of AI & ML in Tech award celebrated the passion, expertise and collaboration behind the work.
Did you attend the ceremony? If so, how did you find that?
Yes, I attended the ceremony and it was a fantastic experience. It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many talented individuals and organisations pushing the boundaries of AI and software development. Winning was a wonderful moment, but I also valued the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of others, make new connections and hear the stories behind their work.
What advice would you give someone entering the awards for the first time?
Do not be too modest about what you and your team have achieved. Tell a clear and honest story: the challenge you faced, what you changed and the difference it made. Use real examples and outcomes, include what you learned along the way, and let your passion for the work come through. Authenticity is often what makes an entry memorable.
