Alistair started coding at nine and shipped his first iOS app by nine. He was the first technical hire at Fancy (YC S21), which was later acquired by GoPuff for roughly $100 million. Since 2018 he has been building AI products, working with models from BERT and GPT-2 onward, and brings deep expertise in LLM training, synthetic data, supervised fine-tuning, and reinforcement fine-tuning. Today he leads Cosine's ML team and is responsible for the company's research direction, model development, and core AI capabilities.
