at Currie & Brown, Chris has worked on large-scale change projects,
including the implementation of the company’s ERP platform and the move towards
increased digitalisation and cloud adoption. He has implemented various
security measures with a focus on employee education.
Brown has completed a series of acquisitions since 2015 and Chris has been a
core member of the due diligence and integration teams for these projects.
He is also CTO
for Currie & Brown Aero, the company’s UAV surveying company, and has been
instrumental in establishing this business.
In his personal
life, Chris enjoys time spent with his family, racing sailing dinghies on the
River Thames, watching Surrey County Cricket Club play and attending art
exhibitions and concerts.
David joined Naked Wines at the start of 2020 as Group CTO, with the remit to support the
growth of this successful Direct to Consumer Wine E-tailer in the US, UK and Australian
markets. Originally starting his 30+ years career as a developer, and therefore a technologist
at heart, he has been involved in most aspects of growing digital businesses and has a
passion for bridging the gap between Tech and Business. With a background in leading
scaled Product Development teams for Camelot, Sky and BT, and also smaller scale-ups,
David has also driven Inclusion and Diversity initiatives. As well as his technology passion,
he is a committed family man, part-time beekeeper and enjoys the occasional Malbec.
Glen has spent his working life involved in Policing and
Security, he fell into Policing of a fashion joining the RAF Police in 1998
when he discovered University was expensive and as such he was running out of
During his time in the RAFP Glen was employed all aspects of
policing finally settling into the role of Counter Intelligence, responsible
for carrying out Counter Espionage and Counter Terrorism duties for the RAF at
home and abroad in some notable locations some you’d want to go on holiday to
but most you wouldn’t. Glen parted ways with the RAF as a regular in 2012 as
part of the Strategic Defence Review of that year and began his journey into
the private sector with stops at Fujitsu Defence and National Security as their
Head of Operational Security & Risk Management, before moving to Sopra
Steria as Head of Operational Security for Government accounts.
In 2016 he moved to the Prince’s Trust taking up the role of
Chief Security and Risk Officer as well as being appointed as the DPO in 2017. After a successful tenure at The Prince’s
Trust during which he introduced both GDPR and Cyber Essentials Plus at the
organisation he moved to Save The Children International where he is currently
employed as the Global Chief Information Security Officer and Head of Data
Protection. In his spare time Glen is still an active member of the RAF Reserve
having completed two operational tours abroad one in 2014 to Afghanistan as
part of Op HERRICK and again in 2018 to Cyprus as part of Op SHADER and most
lately within the UK where he was employed on Op RESCRIPT the UK Government
response to COVID-19 during which he was a Mobile Testing Unit Commander
running testing sites in the East of England.
Ian Woosey, CIO, Clarion Housing Group
Ian has over 25 years Executive experience having held several CIO, Digital and Operations Director positions primarily in the retail sector and acted as a senior adviser to numerous large retailers and Private Equity firms across Europe. He specialises in turnaround and transformation programmes and helping large businesses achieve maximum returns from e-commerce, digital and technology investments.
Ian is currently the Group CIO and an Executive Director at Clarion Housing Group, the largest Housing Association in the UK with over 125,000 homes and c£1bn turnover. He is responsible for all Technology, Digital and Business Change activities. He recently turned around and successfully delivered one of the largest Microsoft Dynamics implementations in EMEA to transform ways of working and enable the operational merger of two large Housing Associations.
This is the platform that will enable Clarion to deliver an ambitious digital programme, delivering genuine innovation in the social housing sector.
Prior to joining Clarion Ian was the CIO and member of the UK & Ireland Operating Board at Brakes. Brakes is the leading supplier to the foodservice and catering industry in the UK, with customers ranging from pubs to independent restaurants and schools to hotels.
Ian was also a Senior Director at Alvarez and Marsal, the world’s largest restructuring firm. He led a number of large turnaround programmes in the UK and Europe, helping businesses to improve performance and profitability and recover failing projects.
Earlier in his career Ian held a number of senior management positions at Sainsbury’s and was the CIO at Carpetright.
Passionate about Technology, Leadership, Social and family life, Matt has 25 years of technology experience, 10 in advertising and 8 years with dentsu international. He currently runs Business Platforms for EMEA and co-leads technology in the region. Throughout his career, he has implemented large scale transformation programmes from traditional waterfall to agile product delivery.
