Key dates

The judging process

Judges are given 3-4 weeks to judge, score and give feedback on their categories on Evessio. We then build a winners list from their scores, and aim to get that confirmed the day after the judging closes on Evessio. Editorial are involved in the process, they are sent the Evessio data so they can determine the winner.

Tools to assist with judging

General tips for Computing judges

1. Briefly read over each entry before beginning your judging. It may help to write notes about what stands out for each entry. This will help you assign accurate marks later on.

2. Examine each entry in more depth. How well do they meet the criteria for the category? Is every piece of the entry relevant, or has the entrant inflated it with marketing material?

3. Prioritise entries with UK-based case studies. Whilst we will accept entries with a case study in another country, particularly from UK firms or teams, a UK case study is preferred.

Want to become a judge for our awards?

In the event that judges have already been selected for these awards, you may be considered for future awards if you fit the below criteria:

  • Judges must be at a manager level or higher, bringing a certain level of seniority and deep industry knowledge.

  • Each judge should have a strong understanding of the award’s subject matter, with categories being assigned to each judge accordingly. For example, the Rising Star of the Year category may be judged by someone in a leadership role who manages young professionals and understands what it takes to be a Rising Star.

  • We promote judging opportunities for several reasons: it provides valuable insight into industry achievements, offers inspiration, motivation, and knowledge from reviewing entries, allows judges to engage with the brand in a unique way, and enhances their professional profile by being part of a prestigious panel.

  • Judges must be based in the UK
